In a world where compassion and love intersect with furry companions, Bingo's Buddies stands as a beacon of hope for elderly dogs in need. This remarkable non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, led by the compassionate Martha, embodies a mission that touches the hearts of animal lovers worldwide.
Martha, the driving force behind Bingo's Buddies, comes from a family of animal lovers. Growing up with five sisters, she was surrounded by everyone’s love of dogs from an early age. Her home was always filled with the joyful presence of five to six dogs, each of them a cherished family member.
Martha's dedication to the well-being of animals led her to a career at a veterinary office. One poignant story from her time there involved a Chihuahua named Jose. Facing the prospect of euthanasia due to hearing and vision loss, Martha stepped in. She convinced the owner to sign Jose over to her care, giving him a chance at a better life.

Martha's dedication extends well beyond her own canine companions. In a time when dogs were frequently abandoned to navigate the world alone, she opened her heart and home to numerous dogs in need, offering them unwavering love and care. There were moments when her household became a sanctuary for over ten dogs, each one receiving the attention and affection they rightfully deserved.
Most of the dogs that find their way to Bingo's Buddies come from shelters, like Ramona and Animal Friends of the Valley. Some stay for just an hour, while others are fortunate enough to enjoy Martha's care for weeks, months, or even years. The organization's mission hinges on the belief that senior dogs, often overlooked in shelters, deserve a chance at happiness in their twilight years.
Martha understands the importance of microchipping in reuniting lost pets with their families. Bingo's Buddies actively promotes this practice, offering microchips for free with no registration fee, thanks to Martha's dedication. However, the organization relies on donations to sustain this invaluable service.
Currently operating at full capacity, Bingo's Buddies dreams of expanding to provide even more foster care for senior dogs in need. This vision of saving more lives requires additional resources, primarily for food, medical supplies, and essential pet care items.

Bingo's Buddies is not only a haven for elderly dogs but also a vital resource for the larger pet-loving community. Their dedicated food pantry provided nourishment for over 140 pets just last month. With each passing month, this number continues to rise, underlining the pressing need for food and supplies to sustain and expand this essential service. Bingo's Buddies relies on the generosity of donors to ensure that not only their own rescued dogs but also countless other pets in the community receive the sustenance they require to thrive. Your support can help them make a significant difference in the lives of these cherished animals.
A Tribute To Bingo

The heart of Bingo's Buddies beats in honor of a very special dog. In 2016, Martha welcomed a poodle into her life. This little one was in a sorry state—completely matted, plagued by sand spurs, pneumonia, and congestive heart failure. With all odds against him, they named him Bingo, because against the odds, he had hit the lottery of love. Initially given just six months to live, Bingo defied all expectations, flourishing for an additional two years and four days. His story serves as a testament to the life-changing power of compassion and care, the very essence of Bingo's Buddies.
